Langlees thief stole from Lidl and Sports Direct

Gemma Nicol, 38, 117 Seaforth Road, Langlees, took food from Lidl, Carron Road, Bainsford, on April 19, 2020 without paying.

She then stole clothing from Sports Direct, Central Retail Park, Falkirk, on November 18 last year.

Nicol was also caught in possession of drugs, namely diamorphine, a class A substance, at Falkirk Sheriff Court on July 10, 2019.

Defence solicitor Lynn Swann said: “Her fear is she’s 'back to me’.”

Sheriff Derek Livingston noted a background report produced by social workers wasn’t “favourable”.

Nicola was placed on a structured deferred sentence for six months, with a review scheduled in three months’ time.

The order imposed by the court includes a condition to be of good behaviour and engage with the Community Alcohol and Drug Service (CADS) as well as the social work department.
