Langlees offender's luck runs out as arrest warrant is issued
An offender was given a second chance when he failed to turn up at court last month but when he was once again a no show on April 1 there was no fooling around.
Ricky Keen (23) failed to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Thursday with no good excuse – after failing to appear two weeks earlier.
On that occasion visiting Sheriff Richard MacFarlane took pity on him and – instead of issuing a warrant for his arrest – continued the case to April 1 and Keen’s personal appearance on that date.
Sheriff Derek Livingston, however, issued an arrest warrant.
"He has quite a history of failing to appear – there was a warrant for his arrest in December,” he said.
Keen had previously pleaded guilty to the breach of the peace he committed at his 64 Seaforth Road, Langlees home on November 14 last year, when he shouted, swore and made threats of violence.
