Injured good pal with single punch

A man severely injured and permanently disfigured his friend when he struck him with one punch.

At Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday Colin Curle (54) admitted assaulting the man in Carron Road, Bainsford, on June 5 last year.

Defence solicitor Murray Aitken said: “They have been friends for a long time. The victim was acting aggressively towards someone else. There is a low level of violence here – a single blow caused injury.”

Curle, 239 Carron Road, Bainsford, was placed on a supervised community payback order with the condition he complete 200 hours of unpaid work within nine months and pay his victim £500 compensation with six months.
