Hunt for stone throwing teens

Since Monday there have been numerous reports to police in Grangemouth about property being damaged by teenagers throwing stones.

A group of young people walking between Earn Court, Islay Court and Ard are believed to have caused the damage on Monday evening.

There were further “acts of disorder” in the surrounding area on subesequent evenings.

Hundreds of pounds worth of damage to windows and vehicle have now been reported to police.

The group of youngsters, both males and females, are thought to be in their teens.

PC Louise Dickson of Grangemouth Police said: “I believe these incidents to be linked and the same group of young people have been out on Halloween intent on causing damage and disruption.

“This behaviour is completely unacceptable. I ask that witnesses come forward and identify those responsible, with parents who are local to the area asking searching questions of teenage children out that night.”
