Hunt is on for Forth Valley teenage sex attacker

Police are appealing for information after a woman was sexually assaulted in the Forth Valley area.

The incident happened at around 7.30pm on Tuesday, June 14 when a 60-year-old woman was cycling along Sheriffmuir Road, near to the Sheriffmuir Inn, in Dunblane when she was approached by a young man on a bike who touched her inappropriately before riding off.

The suspect is white, aged between 16 years and 18 years of age, with yellowish teeth and braces. He was wearing a cycle helmet, sunglasses, a bright neon orange jacket and was riding a white road bike.

PC Jenna Alexander, of Stirling Police Station, said: “The area is a well-used cycle route and so I am keen to hear from anyone who was in the area between 7pm and 8pm last Tuesday evening who may have seen the male cyclist in the area or who recognises the description of him.

People can call Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference number 1983 of Wednesday, June 15.
