An inmate caused more than £2100 of damage when he trashed a cell at HMYOI Polmont.

Andrew Dawson (22), 49 Crieff Road, Perth, pled guilty to recklessly destroying contents, fixtures and fittings on April 24, 2019.

The total cost of the damage was £2132.56. His defence solicitor said Dawson has mental health issues and “his frustration boils over”.

He must complete 150 hours’ unpaid work within 12 months.
