Grangemouth sex offender failed to tell police about his address change
A sex offender who failed to inform police of his new address then went on to breach a number of his bail conditions.
John Tams (39) failed to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday, having admitted failing to comply with the notification requirements of the Sexual Offences Act 2003, not telling police about his change of address.
He also pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening manner towards police in Canal Street, Camelon, February 26 this year and breaching his bail conditions by contact an individual he was not supposed to at his 74 Kingseat Avenue, Grangemouth home on March 31, April 3 and June 8.
The court heard he had also failed to turn to a social work appointment in order for reports to be carried out.
Sheriff Simon Collins QC deferred sentence on Tams until August 16 to allow a criminal justice social work report to be carried out.
