Forbes Johnston (36) turned up outside the property and began shouting, swearing and kicking doors demanding she hand back his bank card.

Appearing from custody via video link at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday, Johnston had already pled guilty to the theft he committed in Spar, Charlotte Dundas Court, Grangemouth on February 24 and behaving in a threatening manner in Poplar Street, Grangemouth on June 8.

“He began to kick the door and shout that he wanted his bank card returned. He was shouting and swearing and behaving in an aggressive manner and some damage was noted to the door.

“He was traced by police later that evening and arrested.”

The court heard Johnston, 56 Inchyra Place, Grangemouth, was due for release from custody on December 8.

Defence solicitor Gordon Addison said: “He had gone back to the address to get his bank card. She was in there with his bank card and another man and he made a nuisance of himself.

“He has a lifetime of drug abuse and comes from a family where crime is just the norm.”

Sheriff Derek Hamilton deferred sentence until January 28 for a drug treatment and testing order assessment.
