Falkirk shoppers warned to beware of fake mobile scam man

Police Scotland is appealing for information after a man approached a shopper in Stirling city centre on Monday, July 12.
A police spokesperson said: “After withdrawing money from a cash machine, the victim was approached by a male offering to sell mobile phones at a reduced price. On agreeing a price, the victim was given what appeared to be legitimate devices authentically boxed.

Hide Ad"However, upon returning home these were found to be imitation devices.”
The scammer is around 5ft 10ins tall, of heavy build and bald with a bushy dark/greying beard. He was wearing a flowery shirt, black jacket and dark trousers.
Police urge people not to purchase goods when approached in the street, regardless of the price or how authentic they appear.
