Falkirk shoplifter pinched perfume from Debenhams

Vivianne Cummings (50) admitted stealing a quantity of fragrance from the Debenhams store in Falkirk’s Howgate Shopping Centre on January 23.

Appearing at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Thursday, Cummings, 40 Hawley Road, Falkirk, was placed on a structured deferred sentence for six months, until April 29 next year by Sheriff Christopher Shead.

“Apparently you view this offence as not being a particularly serious one,” he added, addressing Cummings directly.

A structured deferred sentence is an opportunity to prove to the court participants can stay out of trouble.
