Falkirk man charged with attempted murder over fires

A Falkirk man has been remanded in custody accused of attempted murder after two houses were allegedly set alight.

A 16-year-old, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was badly hurt following the linked incidents in Alexander Road and Adrian Road in Glenrothes, Fife on March 28.

James Simpson from Falkirk and Naveed Iqbal, from Leven, appeared at Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court each facing two charges of attempted murder.

Neither made any plea or declaration and their cases were continued.
