Dumper truck stolen from Grangemouth park

Police are appealing for information after a dumper truck was stolen from a Grangemouth park.

The yellow Thwaites vehicle was removed from Zetland Park at some point between 4pm on Monday, January 25 and 7am on Tuesday, January 26.

Police have confirmed the truck was later recovered in Grange Burn.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “If you have any information that may assist with our inquiries, please phone 101 quoting incident 664 of January 26.”

Work on a new, all-inclusive play facility began at the historic green space at the end of last year.

The National Lottery Heritage Fund awarded Zetland Park £192,000 to allow the regeneration project to move forward.

The play area will feature a play-friendly replica of Grangemouth’s historic paddle steamer, the Charlotte Dundas.

A new pump track will be able to be enjoyed by cyclists and inline skaters, and could be used by by both clubs and individuals for fun or in competitions.
