“They saw immediately she was under the influence of alcohol or some unknown substance. She became agressive, swearing at police officers. She was warned about her behaviour, however, she failed to stop it.

“She was taken to Falkirk police station and continued to shout and swear while in the police vehicle, head butting the side of the cell. Having arrived at the police station she refused to provide her details and, having made remarks relative to self harm, she was processed appropriately.

“During this time she kicked out at police officers, contacting one in the stomach and scratched and bit an officer’s arm.”

The court heard Allen was a first offender.

Defence solicitor Simon Hutchison said: “She is absolutely disgusted at herself for behaving in this way. She had too much to drink and does not remember the offence.

“She wants to aplogise to everyone concerned.”

Sheriff Christopher Shead placed Allen, 89 Craigleith Road, Grangemouth, on a community payback order with the condition she complete 120 hours unpaid work within 12 months.
