Drug bust after tip-off

A 60-year-old man has been charged with drug offences after a tip-off led to a bust at a Grangemouth home.

Police say a cannabis cultivation was discovered in a house in the town and the total value of drugs recovered was estimated at £7000.

Officers say the discovery was made after receiving information from members of the community.

A man aged 60 was arrested in connection with the matter and appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

Sergeant Lyne Rushford, based at Grangemouth Police Office, said: “I would like to thank our local communities for their support as we continue to tackle drug misuse.

“If you have information about the production or supply of drugs, then please tell us about it.”
