Drove car while only halfway into ban

A disqualified driver was only halfway through his ban when he decided to get behind the wheel again.

Christopher Donaldson (31), 8 Ewing Drive, Falkirk, was banned in April last year and police caught him out on the roads again.

Donaldson appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday having pled guilty to driving while disqualified and without insurance in Grahams Road, Falkirk on January 24.

Ann Orr, procurator fiscal depute, said: “The accused was seen by police officers driving the vehicle and they had information he had been disqualified.”

Sheriff Derek Livingston banned Donaldson from driving for 18 months and ordered him to complete 100 hours unpaid work within six months.
