Drivers urged to show some consideration when they park

Falkirk Council has applied to the Scottish Government for the power to punish culprits - but admit that could be months away.

Police Scotland can take action, but critics say many able-bodied motorists are regularly getting away with it on ‘hot spots’ in the town centre including Manor Street and Bank Street.

A spokesman for the council said: “The legal process is not expected to be in place until next Autumn at the earliest. Irresponsible drivers should seriously consider the effect their actions have on others.”
