Polmont Young Offenders Institute will be opening its doors for a change this month.

The YOI is one of several locations taking part in this year’s Doors Open Days, which give the public a chance to satisfy their curiosity and see some places that are usually out of bounds. Booking is essential to see round the facility. To book, contact [email protected] by September 2. You will need to take two forms of ID with you.

Among the other venues opening this year is the fascinating, ultra high-tech Scottish Centre for Simulation & Clinical Human Factors.
