'Concern for a person' sees police helicopter take flight in Falkirk

Reports of a helicopter overhead and a large police presence in Langlees filled social media on Sunday evening.

Witnesses said there were a number of police vehicles in the area and a helicopter, using its spotlight could be seen flying over the area.

Others reported hearing a lot of sirens.

Police Scotland confirmed their officers had been called to an incident in the area.

A spokesperson for the force said: "We received a report of a concern for a person in Falkirk around 9.15pm on Sunday, April 5.

"Various police resources were used including the helicopter and dog unit.

“A 19-year-old man was traced in the David's Loan area and taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital."
