Charges after Denny abduction

Three men have been charged following an abduction in Denny on Monday.

Police in Forth Valley received a report of concern for a man who was seen entering a Vauxhall Zafira in West Boreland Road around 3.45pm.

The vehicle was subsequently traced in Glasgow Road and a 38-year-old man was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

All three of the men have also been charged with robbery, with two of the men charged with assault.

Detective Inspector Jim Thomson of Falkirk CID said: “We continue to treat this as an isolated incident and want to thank the public for their vigilance and cooperation so far.

“If anyone has information about this and has not yet spoken to officers, I’d ask that they contact Falkirk CID via 101 or report this anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”

The men, two aged 27 and one aged 29, are expected to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court today.
