The alleged thefts were reported on Facebook by the Clanranald Trust – the organisation which built and now operates the site in Carron Valley, near Denny.
A Clanranald Trust spokesperson said: “Due to the lockdown we’ve had some thievery going on in the local area of Duncarron. Some suspicious characters lurking have been brought to our attention.”

After years of development and hard work and help from Clanranald Trust pal and champion Hollywood actor Russell Crowe – who actually visited the site back in 2011 – Duncarron officially opened its doors as a living history attraction and potential feature film locaton following a special weekend festival last May.
At the time, Clanranald Trust founder Charlie Allan said: “I’ve had a dream of creating a historical experience like this for more than 20 years. It has taken a little longer than I’d ever anticipated.”
