Two cars were stolen from a Brightons street overnight on Sunday.

A blue Toyota Auris and a red Toyota IQ were taken from the driveway in Standrigg Avenue.

Police are appealing for information and warning householders to be vigilant.

A spokesperson said: “Very often, the individuals involved will drive or walk around residential areas to identify properties and vehicles of interest. Police ask that residents remain vigilant to suspicious persons or vehicles and report any concerns to us.”

They also urged occupiers to take every precaution to secure their home and vehicles overnight, ensuring that vehicle keys are kept out-of-sight. External doors and windows should be locked, remembering to close and lock garages or outbuildings.
