Carron man jailed after losing temper at partner

A Carron man lost his temper after his drunken partner turned up at his home.

Bryan Webster (28), 50 Ochil Terrace, Carron, appeared from custody at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday having pleaded guilty to acting in an aggressive manner and shouting at the woman on July 24.

The court heard he was on remand in respect of a solemn case.

Webster’s defence solicitor told Sheriff Derek Livingston: “He appeared in October and is going to be in custody for some time before it’s resolved.

“He hasn’t been convicted of anything.”

In relation to the incident on July 24, the solicitor added: “The complainer attended at his address when drunk and he was overaggressive in getting her out.”

Sheriff Derek Livingston asked procurator fiscal depute Kristina Kelly if there was a motion by the Crown for a non-harassment order.

However, Ms Kelly stated: “The complainer refused to engage with police. There’s no information.”

Webster was imprisoned for 72 days.
