Bo’ness offender told partner ‘I’m coming with my mallet’

Sam Ferguson (28) made various threats to his former partner stating he was coming to see her with his mallet and was going to kill her.

Ferguson, 52 Drumpark Avenue, Bo’ness, appeared from custody at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday having pled guilty to behaving in a threatening manner in Clydesdale Street, Bo’ness on December 25, 2017 and subsequently breaching bail conditions by contact his former partner between March 6, 2018 and April 6, 2018.

The court heard Ferguson had five previous convictions for domestic offences.

Katie Cunningham, procurator fiscal depute, said: “The complainer received a message from the accused stating ‘you going to message me or I’m coming with my mallet’, ‘I’m going to kill you’, ‘send your bro, I want him first’ and ‘I’m prepared to go to jail’.”

Sheriff Derek Livingston sent Ferguson to prison for six months and made a two-year non harassment order for him not to contact the woman or enter Clydesdale Street, Bo’ness.
