A body was recovered from the River Carron yesterday morning after being spotted by a dog walker at 10.30 a.m.
The body, which is believed to be a man in his 40s, was found in a stretch of river near Fankerton, Denny, adjacent to the B818 road.
Police officers and a forensics team arrived on site and remained there until early evening.
A car which had been left in a nearby lay-by was later removed from the scene.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said there appear to be no suspcious circumstances surrounding the death.
