A woman has been convicted for a third time for driving while banned.
Victoria Black was stopped on West Bridge Street in Falkirk just after 3pm on October 28 after police were tipped off she was behind the wheel illegally.
Checks confirmed she was disqualified and had no insurance.
At Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday the 23-year-old, of 48 Garry Place, was disqualified for two years and placed on a supervised community payback order for 18 months. She was also given nine months to complete 150 hours unpaid work.
Defence lawyer Dick Sandeman said Black was “desperate” to avoid going to jail for the offence.
Sheriff John Mundy warned Black: “This is the third time a charge of this nature has come before the court. This type of repeat offending cannot be allowed.”
