Jason Clark (32) appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Thursday having pled guilty to driving while disqualified and drink driving in Glenfuir Road, Falkirk on October 19. He gave a reading of 71 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath when the legal limit is 22 microgrammes.

The court heard Clark, 98 Ure Crescent, Bonnybridge, had been remanded in custody on October 19 and had a year-old child whom he had not yet seen.

Defence solicitor Simon Hutchison said: “He has four previous convictions but the last one was 10 years ago. It is not his fault reports are not available.”

No criminal justice social work reports were available so Sherrif Derek Hamilton continued the case until December 15 in order to get one.

Clark was remanded in custody until that date.
