“Elle” turned out to be a grown woman who was working to snare online predators and Colin Shirley (46) soon found his posts reported to police.
Appearing at Falkirk Sheriff Court yesterday, Shirley had pleaded guilty to sending the sexually explicit messages via WhatsApp from an address in Laburnum Road, Banknock, between January 25 and March 19 last year.

Hide AdStan Quirk, defence solicitor, said: “He has lost his house, lost his job and brought shame on his parents, who are both elderly, because of his involvement in this.
"He wants to avoid repetition of offending of this nature.”
Sheriff Christopher Shead placed Shirley, Flat 4, 9 Bruce Street, Clydebank, on a supervised community payback order for three years with the condition he complete 160 hours unpaid work within 12 months.
