Bainsford shoplifter pinched £100 worth of booze

Appearing from custody via video link at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday, Darren Jarvie (39) had pleaded guilty to thefts he committed at the Co-op, Carron Centre, Carronshore on May 18 and May 21 – stealing alcohol totalling £102.

The court heard Jarvie, 117 Carronside Street, Bainsford, had been in custody since June 4 – the equivalent of a 40-day sentence.

Sheriff Craig Harris released Jarvie from custody and ordered him to complete 60 hours unpaid work within six months.
