Appeal after attempted robbery in Denny
A shop worker has been left shaken after an attempted robbery in Denny.
A man entered A and Z Stores in the town’s West Boreland Road at around 11.55am on Tuesday, August 4 and presented a weapon at the male employee (37) and demanded money.

Hide AdThe victim was shocked but unhurt and the man left the premises empty handed.
Police are now appealing to the public for information which may help them with their enquiries.
Detective Constable Colin McInally said: "We are looking to trace a man who was described as young by his voice only, he was wearing blue trainers with a white sole, with dark blue jeans and a black hooded jumper with white tassels.
“He was also wearing a black balaclava with eye and mouth holes and wearing white gloves.

Hide Ad“It is understood he was in possession of a dark blue knife, possibly a Stanley or craft knife style.”
Officers are asking anyone who was in the area at the time or who knows who was responsible to contact Police Scotland by calling 101 and quoting incident number 1370 of August 4, 2020.
