35-year-old man charged with murder after body found in Bo'ness flat

A man has appeared in court charged with murder after an incident last weekend.

Jonathan Robert Bell (35), is accused on petition of murdering Bo'ness man Jim Johnston (39) in an alleged incident at a flat in Drumpark Avenue, Bo'ness.

The incident is said to have occurred at around 2pm on Saturday, April 17.

At a brief private hearing at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Monday, Bell, also from the Bo'ness area, made no plea.

Sheriff Derek Livingston continued the case for further examination and remanded Bell in custody. He will appear in court again next week.

Emergency services had been called to a report of a man seriously injured after an ‘altercation’.
