'Back late' Grangemouth offender to stay tagged 'til next year
An offender will have to keep his electronic tag on for a few months yet after he failed to meet his curfew requirements.
Appearing at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday, Dillan Connal, 28, had pleaded guilty to breaching his 8pm to 6am curfew in Castings Avenue, Falkirk on June 28.
The court heard Connal had been on an electronic monitoring tag for 136 days and had been made subject to 12 months supervision back in April.
Defence solicitor Lynn Swan said Connal, who had simply got back late to his address at the Castings on the day he breached his order, was someone who “needs support”.

Sheriff Maryam Labaki deferred sentence on Connal, 45 Lumley Street, Grangemouth, until February 25, 2027 to “put him to the test” and see if he can be of good behaviour in that time.
"Given the nature of the case and because of your past, the electronic monitoring part of your bail order will still remain in place,” she added.
