Falkirk Council has awarded emergency contracts for school bus services after an operator went bust.

A & A Mason of Bo’ness unexpectedly ceased trading in December, but all routes it was responsible for have now been allocated to other firms.

The 198 to Bantaskin Primary School, from Lime Road in Tamfourhill, will now be provided by Dewar’s Coaches, as will the 628 to Graeme High from Hallglen.

Fitzcharles Coaches will now operate the 168 service from Grangemouth Old Town to Moray, Sacred Heart and Beancross primary schools.

All services should operate to existing routes and timetables, and Scholars Season Tickets will remain valid.

For more information, call the school transport helpline on (01324) 504966 or 504724.
