Cops recover £10,000 of drugs

A man was arrested after a police operation at the weekend which saw them recover £10,000 of cannabis.

Officers discovered the large quantity of class B drugs after searching a property in Hawthorn Street, Grangemouth on Saturday.

A 63-year-old man was charged under the Misuse of Drugs Act and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.

Inspector Christopher Stewart, based at Grangemouth police station, said: “This latest recovery again demonstrates our ongoing commitment to tackling drug crime in Forth Valley.

“Intelligence gathered from the local community played a crucial role in this successful operation and I thank the public for their continued support and assistance in helping remove illegal drugs from our streets.
