Traffic intending to use the Junction 4 on slip road will be diverted northbound to Junction 5 and will return from here to re-join the southbound M9.

Amey say the work will cost £515,000 and is to improve the condition of the carriageway and strengthen the pavement areas to reduce the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.

Around 15,000 drivers use this stretch of road every day.
