Koffee Time meets today (Thursday) from 10 a.m. until noon. You will be made most welcome and are likely to discover that you know some of the regulars. ‘Thought for the Day’ this week will be given by Alex Mackay. The Breaking of Bread this Sunday at 10.30 a.m. will be followed by a cuppa and the Bible Teaching at 11.50 a.m. will be given by Jim Pender. A group from Bethany plan to visit Summerford House at 3 p.m. that afternoon for a short service. The new lunch club with Dave Bremner in Carmuirs Primary will meet on Tuesday, September 9 during the lunch break. That evening Roy Gray will introduce the Autumn Bible Studies in Bethany at 7.30 p.m. The studies will focus on Paul’s second letter to Timothy.

Thanks to everyone who came along to the August Independent Living Cafe in Forth Valley Sensory Centre, Camelon. Those present really enjoyed a most interesting talk and quiz from Geoff Bailey of Falkirk Museums. The ILA Cafe is open to anyone with an assessed need from social work and anyone with an interest in disability. The next ILA Cafe is today (Thursday) again in the Sensory Centre from 12.30-2 p.m. This month we are having a ‘Taste and Try’. Volunteers have promised to do some baking and provide recipes for those who want to have a go themselves. Come along and enjoy a light lunch, meet old friends and make new ones. Of course you will also be able to sample the goodies. Due to rising costs, we are having to charge £2 per lunch. For further information contact Elma on (01324) 625097. There are bingo sessions every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 7.30 p.m. At Tuesday’s session refreshments can be obtained for a small donation. Entertainment tomorrow (Friday) is vocalist Steve Durrand with the show starting at 9.15 p.m.
Entertainment on Saturday is by Fraser’s Disco. There are pool and domino tournaments every Sunday from 3.30 p.m. Admission is £1.
The weekly draw in aid of Camelon Juniors was won by Adam Forsyth, who takes the consolation prize of £50 with the ticket sold at Tesco Camelon. Next week’s jackpot will be £600.

Every Tuesday from 10 a.m. until noon in Camelon Community Project. Come along and get fresh fruit and veg from your local farmer at reasonable prices. We accept Healthy Start Vouchers and there will be information on healthy eating, free recipe cards and tasting sessions.
