Bowling Club

George Halaka and John Phillips share the £180 in the 21 Club last Sunday. Dougie Harkness had the lowest score and wins £20. The John O’Connor Funeral Director open pairs on Sunday, June 22 already has a huge entry. The Scottish ties begin for most next Monday so all the best to all concerned.

Bethany Hall

Koffee Time from 10 a.m. until noon today (Thursday) is the last opportunity for the present to make a contribution to Make Better Homes in Romania. Go and enjoy time with friends new and old. On Sunday, June 1, meet DV at 10.30 a.m. for the Breaking of Bread, at 11.30 a.m. tea/coffee will be served and at 11.50 a.m. the Bible Teaching will be given by Douglas Moodie. At 2 p.m. on Monday, June 2 some Bethany folk plan to visit Wallside Grange for the last visit of the 2013-2014 season with Lynn Holleran. On Tuesday at 7.30 p.m. the prayer meeting will be followed by a message from John Locke.

Aerobics & Toning

Camera Club

The club meets every Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. in the Scotia Room, Camelon Education Centre. All welcome.

Mariner Bar

Entertainment on Saturday, May 31 is by Fraser’s Disco. There are domino and pool competitions every Sunday from 3.30 p.m. Entry is £1 per person.

Car Boot Sale

Every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Falkirk Stadium. Pitches are £6 each. Proceeds for the benefit of Falkirk Football Club. For further information call Jim Campbell on (01324) 873498.

Juniors Club

Entertainment on Friday, May 30 is by female vocalist Carol Paris. There is a bingo session which starts at 7.30 p.m. for around one hour with the show following at 9.15 p.m. There are bingo sessions every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 7.30 p.m. On Tuesdays there are refreshments provided for a small donation.

Football Club

The weekly draw in aid of Camelon Juniors was won by Archie Livingstone, who won the jackpot of £750. The ticket was purchased at the Canal Inn. Next week’s jackpot will be £500.

Ochiltree Club

Entertainment on Saturday, May 31 is provided by The Next Best Thing.

Spirit Within

ILA Cafe

Thanks to everyone who went to the May Independent Living Cafe in the Sensory Centre, Camelon. The ILA Cafe is open to anyone with an assessed need from Social Work and anyone with an interest in disability. The next ILA Cafe is on Thursday, June 5 in the Forth Valley Sensory Centre, Camelon from 12.30-2 p.m. when the group will be learning some signing which had to be postponed last month. Go along and enjoy a light lunch, meet old friends and make new ones. Due to rising costs, there is a charge of £2 per lunch. For further information contact Elma on (01324) 625097. Tai Chi Qigong

Relax, have fun and improve your health and wellbeing. Help reduce symptoms of stress, anxiety, high blood pressure, relieve the pain caused by arthritis, improve mental health, and lessen the likelihood of falls in older people and more. Qigong is a gentle exercise system that improves flexibility, balance and feelings of wellbeing, based on the same principles as Traditional Chinese Medicine.
