Spirit Within

Would you like to develop your spiritual side and meet like minded open individuals? Then come along to our development group every Wednesday in the Ochiltree Club from 7.30-9.30 p.m. Subjects covered include mediumship, psychic work, healing and guided meditations to relax and unwind. Bethany Hall

Koffee Time meets today (Thursday) from 10 a.m. till noon. Come when you can – go when you must. The Thought for the Day this week is ‘Miracles in Monkstown and Monklands’ – you might well ask what is that all about! We meet for the Breaking of Bread at 10.30 a.m. on Sunday and this is followed by tea/coffee at 11.30 a.m. The Bible Teaching Hour this Sunday has Bill Turnbull as the expected speaker at 11.50 a.m. Sunday Club meets at that time and will continue each Sunday till the end of May. On Tuesday the After School Club meets in Carmuirs Primary at 3.15 p.m. with Dave and that evening we meet at 7.30 p.m. in Bethany for prayer and bible teaching. The expected speaker is Roy Marshall who will bring us the second in his short series of messages.

Keep Fit

Combined aerobics and toning class every Wednesday in the Mariner Sports Centre at 7.45-9 p.m. Telephone Sheila on (01324) 634192 or 07859 933877 for further information.

Camera Club

Meets every Friday from 7-9 p.m. in the Scotia Room, Camelon Education Centre. All welcome.

Mariner Bar

Entertainmnet on Saturday is by Fraser’s Disco. There are domino and pool competitions every Sunday from 3.30 p.m. Entry is £1 per person.

Boot Sale

Every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. a Falkirk Stadium there will be a car boot sale. Pitches are £6 each. Proceeds to benefit Falkirk Football Club. For further information call Jim Campbell on (01324) 873498.

Juniors Club

Entertainment tomorrow (Friday) is provided by male vocalist Degsy. There are bingo sessions every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 7.30 p.m. On Tuesdays there are refreshments provided for a small donation.

Treasure Chest

The weekly draw in aid of Camelon Juniors was won by G.Muir who took the consolation prize of £50 with the ticket purchased at Tesco Camelon. Next week’s jackpot will be £700.

Ochiltree Club

On Saturday entertainment is provided by Gary Alexander. On Saturday, May 24 Scarlet Productions presents tributes to Rhianna, Katy Perry and Susan Boyle. Tickets, priced £15, available from the bar.

Metafit Class

This takes place every Wednesday in Brown Street church hall at 8.15 p.m. For more information call 07739 718361.

Bowling Club

This Saturday at 8 p.m. it is celebration time in the clubhouse for our British indoor rinks champion John (Bash) Phillips. All members and friends are invited and to be entertained by Tony’s Disco. Free entry. Sunday at 9 a.m. for 9.30 a.m. is the David Graham Vehicle Repairs five-person team. The event is full and the draw is on the notice board. A huge thanks to Campbell Myles for all his work around the greens and also head gardener Ian Stewart for having the whole area looking beautiful.

Credit Union

Savings are safe with Falkirk District Credit Union and low cost loans are available once regular savings established. Anyone who lives or works in the area within the boundary of Falkirk Council can join, junior savers welcome. Braveheart Walks

Our monthly walk on Tuesday, May 27 at 1.30 p.m. is taking us to Bo’ness, where special guest Anna Cannings will be joining us for an edible plant ‘pick nick’. Meeting point is Kinneil House in Bo’ness. A mini bus will leave Camelon Education Centre at 1 p.m. to head to Bo’ness and will return around 4 p.m. Please contact (01324) 673703 to book your place on the bus or to find out further information.
