Tai Chi

This is a gentle Chinese excercise system that can help improve your health and wellbeing whatever your age or fitness levels without damaging joints. Benefits can include: reduced levels of stress/anxiety, reduce symptoms of high blood pressure, increased flexibility and muscle strength, improve your immune system and much more. Classes are in Camelon Parish Church hall in Dorrator Road on Mondays form 6.30-7.20 p.m. Contact Yvonne 07824507785 or just come along and join in a friendly relaxed class. Suitable for beginners.

ILA Cafe

Thanks to everyone who came along to the February Independent Living Association Cafe in the Sensory Centre. The ILA Cafe is open to anyone with an assessed need by social work and to anyone with an interest in disability. The next Cafe is today (Thursday)in the Sensory Centre from 12.30-2 p.m. Come along and enjoy a light lunch, meet old friends or make new ones. Due to rising costs we are having to charge £2 per lunch to cover costs. For further information please contact Elma on (01324) 625097. Keep Fit

A combined aerobics and toning class is held in the Mariner Sports Centre every Wednesday from 7.45-9 p.m. For further information call Sheila on (01324) 634192 or 07859933877.

Camera Club

Meets every Friday from 7-9 p.m. in the Scotia Room, Camelon Education Centre. All welcome.

Juniors Club

There are bingo sessions every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 7.30 p.m. At Tuesday’s session refreshments are available for a small donation. Entertainment tomorrow (Friday) is vocalist Stevie Watters with the show starting at 9.15 p.m.

Mariner Bar

Entertainment on Saturday is by Alistair’s Disco. There are pool and domino tournaments every Sunday from 2.30 p.m. Admission £1.

Treasure Chest

The weekly draw in aid of Camelon Juniors FC saw Sandy Riddoch take the £50 consolation prize. Next week’s jackpot will be £850.

Tamfourhill Centre

Community centre activities include: Monday – Kay Klass dance at 4 p.m. and 4.45 p.m., Kickbox cardio fitness class at 7 p.m.; tuesday – Parent and toddler group from noon-2 p.m., Pop-in for coffee and a chat from 1-3 p.m., Creative industries workshop from 5.30-7 p.m.; Wednesday – Junior Youth Club, P1-P3 at 5.45 p.m., P4-P7 at 7 p.m.; Thursday – Senior Youth Club for S1 upwards at 6.30 p.m.; Saturday – Enjoy-a-Ball at 9.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m.; Sunday – Jujitsu from 3.30-4.30 p.m.

Prize Bingo

Carmuirs Primary School is having a prize bingo fundraising event in Camelon Juniors social club on Thursday, March 19 from 7.30 p.m. Admission is £1.

Prize Bingo

Camelon Thistle FC 2000’s are holding a fundraising bingo tomorrow (Friday) in the Ochiltree Club, starting at 7 p.m. Entry is £1 for adults and 50p for children. All welcome.

Metafit Class

A class is held every Tuesday in Tamfourhill Community centre at 8 p.m. All welcome no need to book. For more info call 07739718361.

Bowling Club

This Saturday enjoy an evening of folk and laughs with Gaberlunzie and Titch Frier. Doors open at 7 p.m. for an 8 p.m. start. Entry is £10 at the door, all welcome. Jean Robb needs one goal on Sunday to scoop the 21 club, quite a few others are also close to that magic number. Check your numbers and payments are up to date. Only six weeks to our green opening and already we have five new members. Everyone welcome to try a game of bowls and join in with all the fun in the club.

Bethany Hall

Koffee Time meets from 10 a.m. till noon today (Thursday) when you can be sure of a hot cuppa. The Thought for the Day focuses on building bridges - something a little different! On Sunday we have our Breaking of Bread Service at 10.30 a.m. followed by a break for tea/coffee at 11.30 a.m. and the Bible Teaching Hour at 11.50 a.m. The speaker expected is Billy Holleran a good friend of Bethany. On Tuesday, March 10 we have the Carmuirs Primary Lunch Club for pupils from P4-P7. Dave leads us on towards Easter. That evening we come ever closer to completing our studies in the Book of Proverbs. We have reached session eight and the study will be led by Andy Henderson. Advance notice is given that our next Saturday evening rally is on March 14 at 7 p.m. Further details to follow.

Adult ICT

The Adult ICT Forum in Camelon Local Learning Centre is offering the following courses - Laptops for Beginners and Digital Photography. If you are interested, please call one of the contact numbers and leave your name and contact details and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
