Metafit Class

A metafit Falkirk class is on every Wednesday at Brown St church hall Camelon 8.15pm. All welcome. For more information call 07739718361.

ILA Cafe

Thanks to everyone who came to the June Independent Living Cafe in the Sensory Centre. The ILA Cafe is open to anyone with an assessed need from social work and anyone with an interest in disability. The next ILA Cafe is on Thursday, July 3, again in Forth Valley Sensory Centrefrom 12.30-2 p.m. when we will be having a Games Session. Come along and try your hand at some board games, have a chat and enjoy a light lunch with old friends and new ones. Due to rising costs, we are havig to charge £2 per lunch. Bethany Hall

Koffee Time recognises that the holiday season is upon us but we plan to meet each Thursday from 10 a.m. till noon from today (Thursday) till the end of August. Some folk have already been away and postcards have begun arriving. This week the Thought for the Day will be brought to us by Roy. The speaker at the Bible Teaching Hour on Sunday at 11.50 a.m. is James McCracken and we meet for prayer on Tuesday at 7.30 p.m.

Keep Fit

Camera Club

Meets every Friday from 7-9 p.m. in the Scotia Room, Camelon Education Centre. All welcome.

Juniors Club

There are bingo sessions every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 7.30 p.m. At Tuesday’s session refreshments are available for a small donation. Entertainment tomorrow (Friday) is vocalist Tony Andrews.

Treasure Chest

The weekly draw in aid of Camelon Juniors was won by Robert Heeps who won the consolation prize of £50 with the ticket purchased at the Canal Inn. This week’s jackpot is £700.

Tai Chi

Bowling Club

The John O’Connor Funeral Director open pairs attracted a huge entry of 30 pairs. The winners, after an extra end, were Johnny Kemp and John Phillips and runners up were Gareth Crosbie and Darren Couper. A huge thanks to our sponsors John, Steven and Paul O’Connor for a fantastic day. Willie Mitchell and Bobby Cunningham share £180 in the 21 club this week. Lowest scores were Helen Jenkins, Scott Malcolm, Jim Rowan and George Ryan. Our ladies are to be congratulated on winning the Tarra Trophy for the club.

Queen’s Baton

Ann Henderson, chairperson of Camelon Community Centre, was a baton bearer for the Commonwealth Games torch procession on Tuesday and all at the centre would like to say “well done you made us all proud!”.

Fruit Barra

Every Tuesday 10 a.m.-noon in Camelon Community Centre. Come along and get fresh fruit and veg from your local farmer at reasonable prices. We accept Healthy Start vouchers and there will be information on healthy eating, free recipe cards and tasting sessions.

Community Cafe

This non-profit making cafe in Camelon Education Centre is open to the public from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.
