There are bingo sessions every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from around 7.30 p.m., however, until Christmas the Saturday session will start at 7 p.m. On Tuesdays there are refreshments available for a small donation. Entertainment tomorrow (Friday) is vocalist David Gray with the show starting at 9.15 p.m. On Christmas Eve there is entertainment by vocallist Joanne Bence with a disco before and after. The show is from 7-11 p.m. On Hogmanay the entertainment is provided by vocalist Degsy with the show from 9 p.m. till late. Tickets, costing £5, are on sale now from the bar.
Entertainment on Saturday is by Fraser’s Disco. There are pool and domino tournaments every Sunday from 2 p.m. Admission £1.
The winner of the weekly draw in aid of Camelon Juniors FC was Rena Wilson who took the £50 consolation prize with the ticket bought in the social club. Next week’s jackpot will be £1250.
Entertainiment on Saturday is by Stevie’s Disco.
Entertainment on Saturday from 4-7 p.m. is by Tam the Hat. On Sunday from 4-7 p.m. there is entertainment from vocalist and keyboard player Phil Murray.
Pop into the community centre from 1-3 p.m. every Tuesday for coffee and a chat. There is also a new parent and toddler group that day from noon to 2 p.m. On Wednesday there is a youth club for P1-P3 from 5.45-6.45 p.m., and P4-P7 from 7-8.30 p.m. The senior youth club takes place on Thursday from 6.30-8.30 p.m. for S1 upwards.
We meet for our final Koffee Time of 2014 today (Thursday) from 10 a.m. until noon. The Thought for the Day will be brought to us by Douglas and Alex who are in Falkirk for the day. We are expecting to share some carols and Christmas goodies. The next Koffee Time is planned for Thursday, January 8 at the usual time. This Sunday, December 21 we meet at 10.30 a.m. for our Breaking of Bread service and this will be followed by a pause for refreshments. The speaker expected at 11.50 a.m. is Iain Gibb. He has been sharing messages from the Book of Psalms in 2014 and we wait with interest to see what he will bring us on Christmas Sunday. While our earlier service continues on coming Sundays there will be no Bible Teaching till January 11. We meet on Christmas Eve at 7.30 p.m. for an evening of Christmas Carols and Readings followed by a light seasonal supper. All welcome. The Christmas message is to brought to us by John Muirhead. The members of Bethany take this opportunity to wish God’s best blessings on all who have shared 2014 with us not least pupils and staff at Carmuirs Primary and residents and staff at Dorrator Court, Kinnaird Manor, Summerford and Wallside Grange.
Jean Halliday was the winner of the 21 club which was won after only three weeks. Lowest scores were Davy Easton and Kirsty Craig. Winners can pick up your prize from Kathryn at the bar. Our huge Christmas bottle raffle was drawn last Sunday and the winners were – third Tom Rankin, second Elizabeth Smith and winning five litre bottles was James Campbell. Members please note the club AGM is on Sunday, January 25 at 2 p.m. The children’s Christmas party last Sunday went very well and a huge thank you to Kathryn and staff and, of course, Santa for his appearance.
