Some of the Falkirk area’s most creative and talented artists will be showing off their work again in 2016.
A wide variety of events including open studios, installations, temporary public artworks, pop up shows, films, live performances and exhibitions in galleries and community spaces will take place at venues throughout the area this summer.
The new Forth Valley Art Beat initiative runs from June 11 to June 19 and is organised by Forth Valley Open Studios. It aims to inspire participation from local artists, designers, art clubs, galleries and other organisations.
A spokesman said: “This is about celebrating creativity in the Forth Valley area. If people are keen to participate but don’t have a venue, they can create a temporary venue, perhaps hiring a community hall or making use of an outdoor space.
“It doesn’t need to be a polished white space or studio. Think of alternative ways of showing what you do. Consider hosting an additional event during the nine days – a workshop, demonstration, poetry reading, live music event or film showing.”
If individual artists or groups want to sign up to the event they can visit www.forthvalleyopenstudios.com to apply before January 22.
