Homes in Bonnybridge and Denny were left without power for a short time today following a problem on overhead lines.
Scottish Power say a fault with a transformer linked to overhead power lines near Denny High School caused a power cut at around 10.50am.
Homes lost power for up to around 17 minutes and the problem was sorted within 30 minutes by engineers.
A Scottish Power spokeswoman said: “Some properties were affected for two minutes and some by up to 17 minutes but the problem was quickly recognised and sorted.
“We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused.”
