The Main Street business raised £1500 through proceeds from sales of its special barbecue packs and handed over the substantial cheque to Strathcarron Hospice business development fundraiser Claire Macdonald.

The shop’s sale of the barbecue packs, which saw 25 per cent of every purchase set aside for the hospice, coincided with the Denny charity’s Sizzle for Strathcarron initiative which ran throughout May, June and July.

It aimed to encourage people to host summer barbecue parties at home or at work to coin in cash for the hospice.

Claire said: “With over £11,000 to raise every day to keep our services running, we do rely on the support of the local community. We are incredibly grateful to Patricks of Camelon for generously supporting the hospice in this way.”
