A Falkirk family run roofing company was nominated for two top awards and the business managed to scoop up one of the prizes.
Rooftec (Scotland) Ltd was created in 2008 by husband and wife team, Nicola and Mark Cattanach and it has been dedicated to encouraging young people in the Forth Valley area to consider modern apprenticeships.
For this reason Rooftec was presented with the Service to the Community accolade at the NFRC awards in Glasgow earlier this month.
The company has run various demonstrations in the area, one during Scottish Apprenticeship Week in Falkirk Trinity Church and another in Ancaster Square in Callendar.
Nicola said: “As parents we are enthusiastic to offer opportunities to youngsters and have successfully recruited a modern apprentice for the last three years.”
Rooftec was also in the running for the Green Roofing award for a grass roof project near Linlithgow.
