A former Forth Valley College student who now runs her own business has scooped a top training award.
Natalie Reid (23) received the City and Guilds Medal for Excellence accolade for her outstanding efforts during her studies.
The mum-of-two, who runs Nail Boutique in Laurieston, recently completed her Nail Services level two and three course at the Falkirk and Alloa campuses.
She said: “I am amazed at winning this award and was not expecting it at all. To win a national award like this is brilliant and there are a lot of proud people in my family.
“I absolutely loved the course and my lecturers were great.”
Beauty therapy lecturer Kathryn Baird said: “Throughout the time Natalie studied with Forth Valley College she was a dedicated and engaged student. She had a negative school experience and it was a huge step for her to come back to education. But she sought out some additional support within the college and was always devising new study methods to help her, showing maturity beyond her young age.”
