Staff from Grangemouth firm Doosan Babcock rolled up their sleeves to help refurbish the play area of a local nursery.

The engineering specialist’s employees’ charitable deeds at Larbert Day Nursery were part of the Doosan Day of Community Service.

The fun event saw them clean and tidy outdoor areas, paint buildings, build playhouses and even create a mud kitchen.

Doosan Babcock’s Mark Dixon said: “It’s a fantastic opportunity to be able to take time out from our day-to-day jobs and really give something back to the local community.

“Larbert Day Nursery does a great job for local families.”

The nursery provides day care and education for children living in Larbert, Stenhousemuir, Carron and Carronshore, as well as outlying areas.

Claire Lord, early years officer, said: “Doosan Babcock volunteers are helping to create a bright and colourful revamped garden, which all children will love playing in.”
