The Howgate shopping centre has scooped a top accolade – beating some of the country’s largest malls in the process.
At the Sceptre Awards which took place in London’s Dorchester hotel last week the Falkirk centre lifted the Customer Service Team of the Year title.
Runners-up in the category were Bluewater in Kent and Gunwharf Quays in Portsmouth.
The Howgate’s three managers, one customer service assistant, two maintenance staff, seven security officers and 11 cleaners are all World Host trained and work as one customer-facing team.
The centre continually invests in their staff and every member completed dementia awareness training last year, now extended to store staff.
Commenting on their success, the judges said: “Superb customer service” and “Great result for such a small centre”.
