The winners of the district’s most sought after business accolades will be unveiled tonight (Thursday).

Run by local businessman Steven McLeod, our main sponsor Aurora Hotel Collection is providing the venue this year – the stunning setting of Airth Castle Hotel.

It promises to be yet another glittering occasion for the worthy recipients of The Falkirk Herald Business Awards 2015.

After weeks of sifting and judging entries the winners have now been selected, the trophies engraved and the stage set for those shortlisted, their employees and guests to arrive.

The awards ceremony will be preceded by dinner and entertainment before the highlight of the evening – the awards being handed over in 12 categories.

Our judges admitted that they had some tough decisions to make but agreement was finally reached on who should be named top in their field.

An Oustanding Achievement of the Year Award will also be presented on the night, selected from the category winners.

This year’s event will be a double celebration for the local business behind the awards, The Falkirk Herald.

For 2015 marks our 170th birthday and we’re looking forward to toasting that by raising a cheer to local businesses we are on hand to support year round.

Johnston Press (Falkirk) Ltd editorial director Colin Hume said: “I can’t think of a better way to celebrate The Falkirk Herald’s 170th birthday.

“Sharing in and toasting local business success is a large part of what The Falkirk Herald does on a weekly basis.

“So it’s fitting to toast our birthday at the annual business awards, beside people who also support us – year round.

“We’re all looking forward to the event and celebrating all that is good about business in Falkirk.”
