The clock is ticking down to the deadline for nominations for The Falkirk Herald Business Awards 2013.

So don’t delay in entering to ensure that you are in the running to be recognised by your peers for the efforts you, your colleagues and your business has made in the last 12 months.

This is the fifth occasion that the awards have taken place. They were set up by Scotland’s top weekly newspaper to recognise the achievements of the business community, whether they are sole traders or large companies.

This year we are delighted to welcome Falkirk Council as our strategic partner.

The awards will be handed out at a gala dinner in the Macdonald Inchyra Hotel, Polmont, on Thursday, November 21.

Stuart Birkett, managing director of Johnston Press plc’s Scottish publishing unit, which produces The Falkirk Herald, encouraged last-minute entrants to make the deadline.

Delighted at the response to date, he said: “Over the past few years, this event has become a firm fixture in the business calendar and one which is eagerly anticipated.

“This year is no different and I’m encouraged by the number of people entering or who have indicated they want to be part of the 2013 awards.

“However, time is running out so I would urge people to ensure their entries are in.”

Entry for the awards closes on Thursday, October 3 - so get those forms in now!

Judging to decide on the final shortlist will take place between October 28 and November 8.

Entry forms can be obtained by e-mailing or calling us on (01324) 690222 to have one posted out.
