Falkirk’s secondary school pupils will be able to find out more about a popular avenue into the world of work next week.

Youngsters can get vital information on apprenticeships at a special event in Forth Valley College’s Falkirk campus on Tuesday, November 22.

Organised by Skills Development Scotland (SDS), the open day runs from 9am and includes demonstrations from local employers and presentations from apprentices, sharing their own experiences.

Aimed at pupils from S2 to S4, the initiative will help inform pupils about the choices available to them when it comes to their future career.

Katie Hutton, SDS Director of National Training Programmes, said: “Apprenticeships allow individuals to earn a wage and gain industry-recognised qualifications, as well as supporting employers to develop a skilled workforce for the future.”
